It locks firmly via the hot shoe and the shoulder strap hole of camera. But it won’t scratch the original hot shoe of camera because of the rubber pad on the bottom. And it relocates the hot shoe of camera to the right side for allowing LCD touch screen of Sony A6400 tilting 180&deg up tilting when mounting microphone.
